Lots being heard about world end on December 21, 2012?
I have been getting mails from various sources saying that world will end scientifically, biblically and as per the mayan calendar on December 21st 2012. Does any of our yahoo answer mates know anything on this. Please let me know. I am not afraid but curious.

Well based on all theory’s and assumptions made by scientists and religious groups and Nostradamus himself, i would have to conclude that there will be “end” that people speak of but a new beginning. The Story about the earth ending is because of a universal alignment. Meaning all the planets in the milky way are aligning to a perfect point on December 21st 2012. December 21 or 22. The earth has gone halfway around its orbit, and is opposite the point where it was on the summer solstice. The situation is exactly reversed. The southern hemisphere of the earth is tilted toward the sun, and the sun’s rays are perpendicular to the earth’s surface at 23 ½ degrees south. This is the subsolar point: the sun is directly overhead at noon at this latitude. The farthest south that the sun’s rays shine directly is latitude 23 ½ degrees south, the Tropic of Capricorn. This is the southern boundary of the tropics. On this day, the area north of the Arctic Circle gets no sunlight, and the area south of the Antarctic Circle gets 24 hours of light.
This is called the Winter Solstice (or the December Solstice). The earth is going to plunge into a darkness that have accord during “biblical” times because of the sun being eclipsed by other planets. What makes this eclipse different is that because the whole milky way is being blocked off from the light of our sun, a universal blizzard strikes the earth and causes natural catastrophes. People will die that is not a question. The significance of this date is if humanity changes its ways or be destroyed for not respecting whats not ours. People all have many beliefs about this idea about the earth ending. Why wonder if its coming and try to stop it from happening?

Best drugstore products for oily/sensitive skin?
I have extremely oily, sensitive, and acne-prone skin. What are some cleansers, toners, scrubs, moisturizers, etc. that would help control my oily skin and breakouts, but are still okay to use on very sensitive skin? Thanks!

I’m also EXTREMELY oily, acne prone and sensitive. When on budget, I use:
-Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Cleanser morning and night. It’s usually cheaper online than at drugstores or whole foods. This is gentle but really does a good job of cleansing. All natural and free of parabens unlike neutrogena, clean and clear etc….
-Next, I use either witch hazel or desert essence tea tree pads as toner morning and night. These are ideal as they don’t irritate while removing excess oil, bacteria in pores, tightens them.
-2 to 4 mornings a week, I use Kiss My Face jojoba mint facial scrub. Refreshing and does great job of exfoliating without irritating.
-1 to 2 nights a week, I use Kiss My Face pore shrink as a mask. This draws out excess oil and additionally tightens pores.
-Last, moisturizing is very important for oily skin. Whoever says otherwise is clueless. Not properly moisturizing could actually make you oilier. I find that on budget, Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean oil control lotion works the best in the morning. It has a truly matte finish but it hydrates your skin at the same time. It prevents acne. Other moisturizers for oily skin like clean and clear or alba are greasy and don’t at all control oil. This is a life saver.
At night, I use pure jojoba oil as a moisturizer. This deeply moisturizes skin while balancing it. It tricks it into producing less oil and reduces redness, treats acne, fades scars over time and doesn’t clog pores. Just get a few drops, massage between fingers and pat into face, allow to absorb.
*Other tips: Wash your makeup off every night if you wear any with no exceptions. Never touch your face if your hands haven’t been washed. Clean your makeup brushes a few times a week at least. Replace makeup sponges and powder puffs frequently as well. Change pillow cases so you sleep on a clean surface.
If you want all day matte, no matter how hot, humid, get a bottle of plain milk of magnesia and shake it. After desert essence oil control moisturizer has absorbed in the morning, use a flat top brush or a makeup sponge and pat the milk onto your face. Allow it to dry and smooth out white spots. They will disappear. A bottle of plain milk of magnesia is huge, lasts a long time and only costs a few bucks.
Your Questions About Ziana Spot Treatment

Ziana (tretinoin and clyndomiacin) and a clarisonic mia?
Is it ok to use a clarisonic and a retinol gel like ziana or is that too much exfoliation? What if I only use the ziana for spot treatments?

I’m not 100% sure but I think using a prescription and a Clarisonic might be too harsh on your skin and might irritate it. You should probably call your dermatologist to be sure though.

Acne medicine not working?
Im 14. I got prescribed Ziana for acne. My dermatologist said to use it for 2 months and see if it helps. I used it probably everyday(or at leas every other day) for a month. It seemed like it did nothing. I mean, i know it takes 2 months, but shouldn’t I see SOMETHING by now? I went to the store and bought Burts Bees Acne spot treatment to try cause i’ve heard it works. I’m just afraid to keep using it cause i go back to the dermatologist in a month and he’s going to ask if i’ve been using it and if i said it didn’t work and i only used it for a month, he’ll get mad at me. Should i try out the Ziana for another month, or not?

Yes! Keep using Ziana as you’re supposed to-whether you’re getting results or not. I know how you’re feeling, you want results now and don’t wanna wait. Trust me, if Ziana isn’t working after 2 months, your dermatologist will give you something stronger, guarenteed! Btw, it’s ok to use gentle drugstore acne treatments on the side as long as it’s ok with your dermatologist because your skin may get too dried out and irritated.

can acne products make my face feel like i have a sunburn?
i use diferin in the mornings and ziana at night and sometimes some clean and clear spot treatments when i have a pimple occur(rarely happens) i also use a face lotion that is suppose to help fight acne and has some spf15 in it but this weekend my face got really dry and was relaly sensitive like if i had gotten a sunburn
i used to have alot more acne but then i started on the diferien and ziana and now i barely have acne maybe once every few weeks. i stop using it once for a few days and i just started breaking out

I have the same problems. Its called chemical burn pretty much all the meds your putting on your face are frying it, you need to moisturize more, and cut back on how much actual pimple cream your using, definately stop using the clean and clear unless its a really noticable large pimple.

Prologue
Can summer really be a disaster? That’s what I wonder. But I guess that I’m right it can go downhill, it already has. My best friend, Jess, ditched me for tennis camp all the way out in California, and now some person is moving in next door, one my age. Great, all I need, someone bothering me all summer.

“Anna, get ready we have to be there as soon as they come!”
Dad called to me. “Yea, yea I’m coming!”
I shouted rolling my green and gold splotched eyes. I stumbled downstairs. “Why do I have to come!?”
I asked. “Because the new family has a daughter who’s 14, your age, and she needs a friend.”
He said. I sighed, it was hopeless. I slipped on my shoes and walked outside to the neighbor’s house. I sat in the grass knowing what would happen any minute now. My dad stood next to me holding a bouquet of roses in one arm, letting the other dangle at his side. “Maybe you‘ll like her.”
He broke the strange silence. “If I do, then you win.”
I said.Suddenly a noisey Mercedes drove up the driveway. It stopped and a woman with dark brown hair and a pointy nose stepped out. On the passenger’s side a man with sleek blonde hair and gorgeouse blue eyes came out. He smiled at us. Finally the back door open, a girl whose hair was so blonde made my oburne hair look brown. I gasped as she wiped the hair from her face she was beautiful, her eyes a turquoise color and her face a pale pink. I couldn’t help staring as she looked around, she caught my eye and looked at her feet blushing. “Hi, Im Em this is Rob and this is our daughter Aubrey.” The woman spoke. “I’m Greg and this is Anna.” He said holding out his hand. She shook it. “Anna why don’t you show Aubrey around town.” My dad asked. “Ok.”
I said sounding happy. I notices three bikes straped the the car’s trunk. “Wanna get your bike?”
I asked Aubrey. “Yea ok.”
She said shyly. I went to our house and punched in the code to our garage door. I didn’t wait for the ancient thing to open all the way so i ducked under heading to my lime green bike. It was my newest possesion. I rode out the finally open door and joined Aubrey on the bottom of the driveway. “Do you like out here in the country?”
She asked quietly. “Yea, its nice and peaceful. Anyways how many acres do you have out back I have 60.5.”
I asked. “I have about,”
She counted her fingers. “124.”
She smiled. I turned off our dirt road and onto the sidewalk of county rd. 60. We biked for a couple more minutes and came to the little plaza. “Here we have the strip mall and the food shops, and thats about it,”
I said. “And the school is that way.”
I pointed behind us. “Want to see the forest?”
I asked. “Ok.”
